This page shows changes that have been made to each of the other pages on this site.  Each change made takes the website further from the original thesis submitted to UCL in February 2019, so it is important to highlight where these changes have been made.  Where major changes have been made, the pages concerned will show the date at the end of the page, together with a hyperlink to this page so that the change details can be checked.

Where a date at the bottom of a page is unaccompanied by a hyperlink, a minor change is indicated, for which no update on this page is deemed necessary.  Minor changes include the correction of typographical errors, spelling mistakes, the addition of hyperlinks and improved phrasing, work which is ongoing.  When any such small changes are made (including typos, spelling errors, new links and rephrasing), a new date is added to the bottom of the welcome page, which serves as a version control number for the entire site, as well as on the page concerned.

  • Thesis Page:  Link added to enable the submitted version of the thesis, minus case studies and with a much shorter version of Chapter 5, to be downloaded as a single document.

• • Chapter 3:  Additional material added due to amalgamation with an earlier and more detailed version that was cut down to meet the PhD required word-count when an additional chapter was added to the thesis.

• • Badarian case study: Figure 19 was missing from the web page and has now been replaced. Was still in place in the PDF version.
  • Chapter 5: PDF version of updated web page uploaded

• • Chapter 5:  Completely reorganized and renumbered web version.  Additional material added due to amalgamation with an earlier and more detailed version that was cut down to meet the PhD required word-count when an additional chapter was added to the thesis.  Generally tidied up.  More work planned.
